Bio

Joseph E. Mosca was born in Miami in 1963 and has an Associate in Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Miami-Dade Community College. He joined the Florida Highway Patrol in 1986 and worked a patrol and drug canine for 19 years. He became a traffic homicide sergeant in Miami and the Florida Keys for seven years and was President of Legislative Affairs for his union. He was a member of numerous drug, money laundering, and violent criminal task forces throughout his career, expanding his experience with local and federal law enforcement. His efforts and those of the Troop E canine squad were responsible for keeping the FHP at the forefront of the cocaine wars in South Florida during one of the most violent periods in Miami history. He is currently retired and resides in Key Largo, Florida.
